1/2 box seeded raisins - cooked in enough water to have 1 c. of juice 3 c. flour 2 tsp. baking powders 1 c. brown sugar 1 c. granulated sugar Shortening the size of an egg 1 tsp. nutmeg 1 tsp. all spice 1 tsp. cloves 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. salt Cook raisins and let cool. Cream shortening and sugar. Sift flour and spices together. Dissolve 1 teaspoon soda in raisin juice, mix together. Add raisins last. Bake at 325 degrees. Test with tooth pick.
