1/2 c. butter 1 Tbsp. vegetable shortening 1/4 tsp. salt 2 egg yolks 1/2 c. sour cream 2 c. flour 1 lb. ground nuts 1 c. brown sugar 2 unbeaten egg whites Cream butter and shortening and salt. Mix in egg yolks and sour cream. Combine with flour. Work into a ball and refrigerate 8 hours. Divide into 5 balls. Roll out round and cut into 6-8 wedges. Mix nuts, brown sugar and egg whites. Put a teaspoonful on each wedge and roll into a horn shape. Bake at 400 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes. After baking, dust with powdered sugar. Makes approx: 30 or 40 horns.
