Crisco In paper or plastic bag, combine flour, salt, and pepper; add chicken, a few pieces at a time; shake to coat. Preheat crisco in electric skillet at 360 degrees or use medium - high heat on range. Fry chicken, uncovered, without lowering the heat, for 30 to 40 minutes.
