MEATBALLS: 1 pound ground hamburger (chuck) 1/2 c. cracker crumbs 1/4 c. milk 1/2 small onion chopped fine 1 egg lightly beaten SAUCE: 1 c. ketchup 2 Tbsps. butter 1/4 c. brown sugar 1/4 c. water 1 Tbsp. vinegar MEATBALLS: Combine ingredients and mix well. Shape into small balls. Place in 9 x 13 inch ungreased baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes or until browned. SAUCE: Combine all ingredients in sauce pan. Stir. Simmer over low heat for 15 minutes. Add meatballs. Put in a slow cooker for an hour. YIELD: 2 dozen meatballs. HINT: Sauce can also be made and use for barbecue beans.
