1 1/2 c. sugar 1/4 c. all - purpose flour 1 Tbsp. cinnamon 5 to 6 Granny Smith apples (sliced) 1 recipe (2-crust) pie pastry 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine sugar, flour and cinnamon in large bowl; mix well. Reserve 4 tablespoons of mixture. Add apples to remaining sugar mixture; mix well. Spoon into pastry-lined pie plate. Dot with butter. Top with remaining pastry, sealing edge and cutting vents. Sprinkle with reserved sugar mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 45 minutes or until brown. Serve hot with ice cream. 6 to 8 servings.
