2 c. boiling water
1/4 c. sugar
3 Tbsp. Crisco
2 tsp. salt
2 small cakes or 2 pkg. dry yeast
2 eggs, beaten
7 c. flour
Add Crisco, salt, and sugar to boiling water; let cool.
Dissolve yeast in 1/4 c. warm water, then add eggs and yeast to
first mixture. Add flour last. Knead well, grease with Crisco or
oil. Let rise in ice box or cool place. When ready to use,
sprinkle flour on board and use half of the dough. Roll out, cut
with a can to make a roll hamburger size. Roll thin, brush with
melted oleo or oil. Let rise about 2 hours. Bake at 425 degrees
for about 12 minutes.
