1 quart Blackberries
Mash berries. Add 1 quart water, let stand overnight.
Strain. Add 3/4 pound or 1 1/2 cups sugar to each quart of
liquid. Pour into bottles or jars leaving 2 or 3 inch head space.
Put on lids, but do not tighten tight. Let work for about 3
weeks. After it quits working, strain again, put into bottles or
jars and tighten lids.
