1 c. Karo syrup 1 c. sugar (white) 1/4 c. water 1 tsp. vinegar 2 Tbsp. butter 1 tsp. vanilla (coloring if desired, a few drops added to karo and sugar) Bowl of popcorn Cook first 4 ingredients over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it forms hard ball when dropped into water. Remove from heat and add butter and vanilla. Pour over popcorn and when cool enough to handle make into balls. (If too sticky dampen hands slightly.) May be pressed into Angel food cake pan (buttered lightly) and used for decorations, then eat.
