2 c. brown sugar 2 sticks butter 1/2 c. white Karo syrup 2 tsp. water 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. soda (level) 8 quarts popped popcorn Put sugar, butter, karo syrup and water in pan bring to a boil for 5 minutes. Remove from fire and stir in soda. NOTE: (Stir soda in very slowly. Be careful soda will bubble up). Pour over already popped popcorn stirring all through the popcorn (evenly). Spread out in cake pans and bake at 250 degrees for 1 hour stirring every 20 minutes. When finished baking and cooling. Crumble up and seal in airtight container or eat. (Optional)- May want to add peanuts (shelled). Recipe makes approx: 8 quarts.
