3 c. cooked elbow macaroni 3 Tbsp. butter 3 Tbsp. flour 1/2 tsp. salt dash of pepper 2 c. milk 2 c. shredded sharp cheese Step 1: Place butter in a 2-quart casserole. Microwave on High for 45 seconds to 1 minute or until melted. Step 2: Add flour, salt and pepper. Add milk slowly, stirring constantly. Microwave on High 6 to 8 minutes or until thick. Stir several times during last half of cooking time to prevent lumping. Step 3: Stir in cheese. Step 4: Add cooked macaroni. Cover with lid or plastic wrap. Microwave on Medium for 12 to 14 minutes or until heated throughout. Stir halfway through cooking time.
