2 c. all-purpose flour 2 c. sugar 1 1/2 c. miniature marshmallows 1/2 c. shortening 1 stick margarine 3 Tbsp. cocoa 1 c. Coca-Cola 1/2 c. buttermilk 1 tsp. soda 2 eggs, beaten Stir together flour and sugar in large mixing bowl. Put margarine, shortening, marshmallows, cocoa and Coca-Cola into a 2-quart saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. As soon as it begins to boil, remove from heat and pour over flour/sugar mixture. Stir with a large spoon until well mixed. Do not use mixer; may use wire whisk. Dissolve soda in buttermilk and add it and eggs to the batter. Blend well. Pour into a 9 x 13-inch pan which has been greased, lined with wax paper; grease and flour again. Bake at 325 degrees for 40 minutes or until firm in center. Remove from pan. Cool on rack. Remove wax paper and ice after cooled. Coca-Cola Icing: 1 stick margarine 3 Tbsp. cocoa 6 Tbsp. Coca-Cola 1 tsp. vanilla 1 box confectioners sugar 1 c. toasted pecans, chopped Put margarine, cocoa and Coca-Cola in a 3-quart saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and sift sugar into mixture, about a third at a time, stirring well after each addition. Add vanilla and mix well. Stir in pecans. Spread on top and sides of cake.
