1/2 c. butter or margarine 6 Tbsp. brown sugar 6 Tbsp. white sugar 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. soda 1 c. chopped pecans 1 egg Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla. Stir dry ingredients together; blend into creamed mixture. Stir in nuts. Drop by teaspoon on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees about 10 minutes. Cook cookies slightly before removing from cookie sheet to cool rack. Makes about 2 1/2 dozen.
