1 pt. shucked soft shell clams 1-1/2 c. sifted flour 2 tsp. baking powder 1/8 tsp. pepper 3/4 tsp. salt 1/2 c. juice drained from clams 2 eggs, slightly beaten Drain clams, reserving all juice. Coarsely chop clams. Sift next 4 dry ingredients. Stir into chopped clams with the clam juice and eggs. Drop by tablespoonful into a little hot oil until golden brown. Makes 2 dozen.
