1 c. shortening
2 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
4 c. flour
2 c. crushed pineapple, drained
1/2 c. pineapple juice
1/2 c. buttermilk
Combine juice and buttermilk. Mix other ingredients in order.
Alternate flour and buttermilk mixture. Add pineapple last. Bake
in 3 layers at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes. Frost with favorite
