2-1/2 c. flour
1-1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. peanut butter
1/2 c. soft shortening
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. evaporated milk
Sift together onto a piece of paper the flour, soda and salt. Mix
the peanut butter, shortening and sugars till fluffy. Add about
1/3 of the flour mixture at a time, mixing well after each
addition. Mix in the eggs and milk.
Chill dough about 10 minutes or till firm enough to handle. Shape
into 1 inch balls. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
Press flat with a floured fork. Bake 10 minutes or till light
brown in a 375 degrees oven. Makes about 6 dozen.
