16 oz. medium noodles
1/2 c. margarine
1/2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. pepper
7 c. milk
4 (10-1/2 oz.) cans chicken gravy
8 c. cooked chopped chicken
1 (2 oz,) jar diced pimento, drained
1 c. fine dry bread crumbs
1/4 c. melted margarine
Cook noodles and drain well. In a large kettle, melt 1/2 cup
margarine. Blend in flour, salt and pepper. Add milk all at once,
Cook and stir till thick and bubbly. Stir in gravy. Stir in
chicken, pimento an noodles. Divide mixture between 2 9x13 inch
baking dishes. Bake, covered, at 350 degrees about 35 minutes.
Toss bread crumbs with melted butter and sprinkle over casserole.
Bake, uncovered, 10 minutes longer. Yield: 2 casseroles. 12
servings each. Recipe can be cut in half.
