CRANBERRY BREAD #2

2 c. whole wheat flour
2 c. white flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
1/2 c. butter
1 Tbsp. grated orange rind
1 1/2 c. orange juice
2 eggs
2 c. fresh cranberries finely chopped
1 c. chopped nuts
2/3 c. raisins

Sift dry ingredients together. Cut in butter until mixture
resembles coarse meal. Combine orange rind, orange juice and eggs.
Add to dry ingredients, mixing just enough to moisten. Fold in
berries, nuts and raisins. Turn into 2 greased 9x5 inch loaf pans.
Bake at 350 degrees for 55 to 60 minutes. Cool. Makes 2 loaves.

Slices better the next day. Frost and sprinkle with red and green
topping. If using glass pans, time is 52 to 55 minutes.
