FRENCH CREAM PIE

1-1/2 c. vanilla wafer crumbs
1/2 c. butter
1 c. powdered sugar
2 well beaten eggs
1 c. heavy cream, whipped
1 c. chopped nuts
1/3 c. chopped maraschino cherries
1 medium banana, mashed
1 tsp. vanilla

Line bottom of pan with vanilla wafer crumbs. Stand vanilla wafers
around inside edge. Cream butter and powdered sugar. Beat in
eggs. Spread over crumb crust.

Combine whipped cream, chopped nuts, cherries, mashed banana and
vanilla. Spread on top of creamed mixture. Sprinkle 1 cup of
vanilla wafer crumbs on top to form design. Chill.
