HOT BUTTERED RUM|
1 pkg. brown sugar
1 pkg. white sugar
1 lb. butter
1 1/2 qt. vanilla ice cream
Melt butter; stir in brown sugar, heat and stir thor-
oughly. Add white sugar and heat and stir thoroughly. Make
sure sugars are dissolved. Stir in ice cream and put in
freezer when ice cream has melted.
To serve: Put 8 ounces of hot water and 2 jiggers of
rum in a large cup. Add 1 large glop of ice cream mixture to
cup and stir. Sprinkle with a little nutmeg and enjoy. (This
makes a lot, you may want to halve the recipe.)
