CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES|
1/3 c. Crisco
1/3 c. butter
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
1 tsp. vanilla
1 3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet
Heat oven to 375 degrees. Mix shortening, butter, sugar, egg
and vanilla thoroughly. Blend dry ingredients. Stir into
first mixture. Mix in nuts and chocolate chips. Roll cookies
and place on ungreased baking sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes.
Cool slightly before removing from baking sheet. Makes 4 to 5
dozen 2-inch cookies.
