PASTA FAGIOLI SOUP|
1/2 c. oil
1 medium chopped onion
2 Tbsp. sweet basil
1 to 1 1/2 lb. hot Italian
sausage out of casing
salt and pepper
2 large cans stewed tomatoes,
1 large can tomato sauce
1 1/2 cans water (large)
1 small can red kidney beans
1/3 to 1/2 box ditilini
In large pot, lightly brown sausage, onion and basil in
oil. After browned, add stewed tomatoes, tomato sauce and
water. Cook about 10 minutes. Next add kidney beans. Cook
about 5 minutes more. Add uncooked ditilini. Cook until
tender, about 20 to 30 minutes. Stir frequently while cooking.
