GROUND BEEF CASSEROLE

1 lb. ground beef
6 oz. egg noodles
1 tsp. chili powder
1/2 c. catsup
1/2 small onion
1/2 to 1 tsp. garlic salt or
powder
1 tsp. oregano
salt
1 to 2 tsp. Worcestershire
sauce
cheese (American or Cheddar)
mushrooms and black or green
olives (optional)

Brown ground beef and pour off grease. In another pot,
cook egg noodles in boiling water until tender. Add all
ingredients (except cheese) to ground beef and simmer in
skillet for about 15 minutes. Combine 1/2 beef mixture and
noodles in casserole dish. Put layer of cheese on top. Add
other half beef and noodle mixture; then put another layer of
cheese on top. Make sure all beef is covered with cheese. Put
in oven and bake about 15 minutes at 300 degrees to 350 degrees, until cheese
melts on top.
