BEER BATTER FISH AND ONION RINGS

1 can flat beer
1 1/2 c. flour
paprika
enough fish for 4 servings
1 large onion

Open can of beer and let go flat. Mix flour and beer to
consistency of thick pancake batter. Color with paprika until
light pink. Cut fish into 2 inch wide strips. Dip into batter
and fry at 450 degrees until brown. Thin batter with beer. Cut onion
into 1/2 to 3/4 inch pieces. Dip into batter and fry.
