CREATE A CASSEROLE|
Choose one ingredient from each five groups to make a
mackerel or salmon (1 lb. can)
2 (7 oz.) cans tuna
chicken, cooked or canned
ham, cooked or canned
any other canned meat
macaroni, noodles, spaghetti
potatoes, sweet potatoes
bread or cracker crumbs
crushed cereal flakes
crushed potato chips
fried onion rings
green beans, peas, corn
carrots and broccoli
soup, condensed Cheddar cheese
cream of celery, mushroom,
potato, tomato, vegetable
Place 1 1/2 to 2 cups cubed protein food in casserole or
baking pan. Add 2 cups cooked or canned vegetables; drained.
Add 2 cups cooked pasta, cubed potatoes or rice. Add 1 can
condensed soup mixed with 1/2 cup liquid. Mix into casserole.
Season to taste. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup topping. Bake at 350 degrees
for 30 minutes or until hot and bubbly. Serves 6 to 8.
