ELLEN'S MAGIC RECIPES FOR MAIN DISHES

1 c. rice
3 1/2 c. boiling water
1 pkg. Lipton onion soup
1/2 stick margarine (optional)

Wash rice. Place into 1 1/2 to 2-quart casserole dish.
Pour boiling water over dry onion soup mix and rice. Add
margarine mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes.
The Magic Part: Omit margarine and use meats for your
fat content. May use quail, chicken, squirrel, duck and pork
chops as meats. Place meat on rice and pour boiling water over
soup mixture, rice and meat. Bake at 325 degrees for about 45 minutes
to 1 hour. When cooking wild meats, I add finely chopped
celery and slivers of carrots to the rice mixture.
