OVERNIGHT FRENCH TOAST

8 (3/4-inch thick) slices
French bread
4 eggs
1 c. milk
1 Tbsp. sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. orange juice
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. butter or margarine
powdered sugar

Place bread in 9 x 13 x 2-inch baking dish. Combine
eggs, milk, sugar, salt, orange juice and vanilla; mix well.
Pour evenly over bread slices and turn to coat. Cover and
refrigerate overnight. Melt 2 tablespoons butter in large
skillet. Saute 4 slices in butter 4 minutes on each side until
browned. Repeat until all slices are cooked. Sprinkle with
powdered sugar while hot. Serve immediately.
