SALLY LUNN BREAD|
1 cake yeast
1/2 c. warm water
1/2 c. sugar
1 1/4 sticks butter
2 tsp. salt
1 c. scalded milk
3 to 4 eggs, beaten
5 1/2 c. flour
Dissolve yeast in water. Add sugar, butter and salt to
milk. Cool until lukewarm. Mix yeast, milk mixture and eggs
in a large bowl. Beat in flour with an electric mixer. Let
rise until doubled. Stir down. Pour into well greased bread
pans. Let rise. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes. Cool.
