FRENCH BREAKFAST PUFFS|
1/3 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. milk
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 1/2 c. flour
Mix shortening, sugar and egg thoroughly. Sift flour,
baking powder, salt and nutmeg. Stir in alternately with milk.
Fill muffin tins 2/3 full. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes in 350 degrees
oven. Immediately remove from tins and roll in melted marga-
rine, then roll in 1/2 cup sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon.
Makes 12 puffs.
