LONG JOHNS

1 1/2 c. milk
1/4 c. margarine
1/2 c. sugar
1 1/4 tsp. salt
2 pkg. yeast
1/2 c. warm water
enough flour to make a soft
dough

Combine milk, margarine, sugar and salt. Heat to
boiling and then cool to lukewarm. Dissolve yeast in warm
water. Combine the liquids and add enough flour to form a soft
dough. Knead until smooth, about 5 minutes. Let rise. Roll
dough out 3/4 to 1-inch thick and cut into 1 x 3-inch pieces.
Let rise for about 5 minutes. Fry in hot oil at 350 degrees. Frost
with chocolate, peanut butter or maple frosting. Freezes well.
