APPLE BREAD

1 c. Crisco
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. soda in 4 Tbsp. sour
milk
4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
4 c. apples, unpeeled and
diced
nutmeats

Cream sugar and Crisco. Add eggs, beating well. Add
vanilla and soda milk. Stir in flour and salt. Add apples and
nuts. Batter will be quite stiff. Put in three loaf pans.
Sprinkle with topping.

Topping:
1/4 c. sugar
4 tsp. cinnamon
Mix together and sprinkle over loaf. Bake at 350 degrees for 1
hour.
