WHOLE WHEAT HOMEMADE BREAD

1 pkg. dry yeast
2/3 c. lukewarm water
1 1/2 c. water
1/2 c. cooking oil
1/2 c. sugar
2 c. whole wheat flour
2 tsp. salt
3 tsp. baking powder
3 c. white or unbleached flour

Dissolve yeast in warm water in large bowl. Add water,
cooking oil and sugar. Stir in wheat flour, salt, baking
powder and unbleached flour. Mix ingredients. Add more flour
if needed to make a stiff dough. Cover bowl and let rise
overnight or until doubled in size. Punch down and let rise
again if time permits. Form dough into rolls and place in pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Rolls are ready when brown and
when they sound hollow when tapped. Serve with butter.
Hint: On cold days place dough in warm dryer or near
lit fireplace. Dough will rise nicely.
