CRUST FOR FRIED PIES|
3 c. self-rising flour plus 1
tsp. baking powder*
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. Crisco
Mix the above well. Add enough buttermilk to mix, then
put on a floured board or wax paper and knead, then roll out
for your fried pies. This recipe makes a lot of fried pies.
(Add any kind of prepared fruit to your crust.) Fry pies in hot
*If regular flour is used, add 2 teaspoons baking
