2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/4 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flaked coconut
2 c. cornflakes

Sift together flour, baking soda, salt and baking
powder. Cream shortening and sugars in bowl until light. Add
eggs and vanilla. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture, mix
well. Add coconut and cornflakes. Drop by teaspoonfuls on
greased cookie sheet 1 1/2-inches apart. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to
10 minutes. Remove from sheet to cooling rack. Makes 8 dozen.
