BAPTIST POUND CAKE|
1 stick butter
1/2 c. shortening
3 c. granulated sugar
3 c. plain flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk
1 Tbsp. vanilla or flavoring
of choice (rum-lemon, etc.)
Cream butter and shortening with sugar. Add eggs (one
at a time), beating well. After each addition, add baking
powder to flour. Add milk and flour alternately to mixture.
Add vanilla, mix well. Pour into greased and floured tube pan.
