TWINKIE OR DING-DONG CAKE

1 box Betty Crocker cake mix
with pudding (yellow or
chocolate)
5 Tbsp. flour
1 c. milk
1 c. sugar
1 stick oleo
1 Tbsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. Crisco (use only
Crisco)

Mix and bake either a yellow cake (for Twinkie) or
chocolate (for Ding-Dong) cake mix with pudding in the cake mix
according to package directions. Bake in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
Cook in saucepan flour and milk; cook until real thick; cool
completely. In medium mixing bowl, mix sugar, oleo, vanilla,
salt and Crisco. Beat until fluffy. Add cooled mixture and
beat until fluffy. Slice cake into two layers; spread on
filling; top with other layer of cake.
