MRS. FIELD'S $250 DOLLAR COOKIES

2 c. butter
2 c. white sugar
2 c. brown sugar
4 eggs
2 Tbsp. vanilla
4 c. flour
5 c. oatmeal
1 (24 oz.) bag chocolate chips
1 (8 oz.) Hershey chocolate
bar, grated
3 c. chopped nuts

Cream butter and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix
flour and oatmeal together with a fork. Blend the flour and
oatmeal mixture a little at a time in a blender until the mix
is consistency of fine powder. Mix oatmeal and flour mix with
creamed mixture. Combine all ingredients. Drop by golf ball
size lumps, 2-inches apart on cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 6
to 10 minutes. Watch closely! This recipe makes a thin,
crispy cookie.
For a chewier treat, add: 1 teaspoon salt, 2 teaspoons
baking soda to the oatmeal and flour mixture. Another varia-
tion: Do not mix flour and oatmeal in blender. Add 3 cups
raisins and omit chocolate chips and Hershey bar.
