DANCING MOTH BALLS

water
vinegar
food coloring
soda
mothballs
florist's clay
holiday candle

Mix a solution of half water and half vinegar; tinting
if you like. Fill a glass container about 3/4 full of this
solution. Slowly add 1/2 teaspoon moistened soda for each cup
of solution. Drop about a dozen mothballs in the solution and
they will rise and fall. When they stop spinning, add more
soda. Before the container gets wet place a little florist's
clay in the bottom. Secure an appropriate holiday candle.
Pour in the liquid to submerge the candle.
