CORNBREAD OYSTER DRESSING

1 c. cornbread
1/2 c. flour
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3 Tbsp. cooking oil
milk until smooth
1 egg

Bake cornbread at 350 degrees until brown.
1 onion, finely chopped
2 stalks celery, finely
chopped
green pepper (optional)
4 pieces white bread
2 tsp. poultry seasoning
(taste as desired)
salt and pepper as desired
1 c. fresh oysters
Saute onion, celery, green pepper, white bread, poultry
seasoning and salt and pepper. (You may use sage instead of
poultry seasoning.) Combine all ingredients together except for
oysters. Mix well. Add juice from chicken or turkey; if not
moist enough, add hot water. Mix in oysters last. Taste and
add seasonings for desired taste. Place in a 400 degrees oven for 40
to 45 minutes.
