APPLE BUTTER

7 lb. Delicious apples (16 c.
sauce)
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. vinegar
3 lb. brown sugar
3 Tbsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 c. Karo syrup

Peel, core and slice apples. Cook apples with a little
water until soft. Put apples in a blender and make sauce.
Measure sauce in pan large enough so apples won't splatter so
bad in oven. Add remaining ingredients and put in oven. Bake
3 hours at 350 degrees. Stir once an hour. Pour into jars and seal.
Makes 7 to 8 pints.
Note: Apples can be microwaved in large microwave bowl
for quicker cooking of apples before blending.
